Hi KB,
I also am reluctant about answering anonymous questions...unless I can see a clear reason for the anonymity. To respond to a question well, it is so helpful to look at the person's profile, and have a context.
If the Q is homework I will answer differently than a question that comes from curiosity...or from personal dilemma or distress, for example.
Especially on Ask, I went regularly to "unanswered," here I don't as much because of all the anonymous...
For me, it's not that they're anonymous, it's just that a lot of anonymous questions are...weird
99% are just from spammmmmers, under age kids joking around, bored teens and adults with nothing to do. 99.99% don't care about a real helpful answer, its just fun and games to them.
Unless there's an obvious reason for the anonymity I don't usually bother with them unless they look interesting.
