Dear Anonymous,
Interesting Q...I came upon an article claiming black eyes are the rarest in the world!
"You may not believe about the existence of the 'black' eye color; it is the rarest eye color in the world. ... It is seen in about 1% of the people around the world."
http://www.buzzle.com/articles/eye-color-percentages.htmlAnd indeed, red eyes (pink, violet) are another of the most rare colors in the world...typically associated with albinism.
Prevalence not surprisingly changes with where in the world your ancestors came from; hazel eyes for instance are common in the USA and Europe, but rare in the Middle East, Africa, and Asia.
Gray eyes are also extremely rare world-wide, but common in Eastern Europe.
