It depends on who you ask? For the longest time I hated Christmas because it reminded me of the death of my sister. But God moved my mountain of pain and I have grown to enjoy Christmas once again. If I had to pick 7 years ago, I would have said the fourth of July. If you ask the 8 year old Yin, she would have said "Christmas." If you ask me now.... I say Christmas again. :0)
Just two very different holidays. Christmas is a cozy affair with my family. Fourth of July is a day of partying and barbecuing out in the sun with my friends.
No. Christmas is way better.
As an American. Fourth of July is way more important than Christmas.
If you compare these two together. Christmas is just a new year eve celebration which of course it;s valuable as we be alive, happy and gather to be all together and enjoy our moments and keep high hopes and wishes to start another great year. Another year and we are grateful of course.
But it's not in level of Fourth of July. I'm here because of the Fourth of July. This date is everything in my heart. It's more than just a simple holiday. It's a day where i owed to my fathers, i'm carrying their vows on my shoulder. Everything our country has and everything i have as citizen it's because of my fathers and our men, women and children who died, shed blood and sacrificed to make this country stand. Where my country did the impossible and taught me it is possible. The day my country stood strong with proud and pride as an independent nation right on it's own feet and raised the stars and striped up above.
Fourth of July is the day where i feel the stars and stripes within my veins more than ever.
Patriot movie . 2000:
Granted, but mark my words, this war will be fought not in front of here or on some distant battle field. But among us, i mean our homes, our children will learn of it with their own eyes. And the innocent will die for the rest of us.
everyone has passed away in my family so they just seems like another day
Personally ... 4th of July ... Because I get to blow things up.
