Ok guys, this site can be so serious and depressing at times, so let's change that. What makes you happy? Or even a time, place, or situation that made you happy. Happy thoughts people, happy thoughts.

Serious yes. Depressing rarely. Though-provoking sometimes.

But whether you like it or hate it, it's usually a nice place to be. (But once, some years ago it was the DB!)

this site is diverse with serious and fun questions. Some sites like fluther delete the fun questions and only allow serious ones (which is real sad and depressing in my opinion)

I've been invited to my friends house for a lasagne dinner tonight and she makes the best! Good food always makes me happy, especially when someone else cooks it.

I find Blurtit fun, uplifting, helpful, informative, LOL, fun and encouraging. 

Never boring or depressing.

Being out on the boat, dominating the tennis court (which I still do) or just waking on a sunny Florida morn knowing I can do whatever suits my fancy that day. Ahhh, life.

You're a bad influence, Robert. Every morning I climb out of bed thinking, "I must try to be serious today. I must try to be serious today." And then you come along and want me to throw all that away. I'm getting  confused.

Spending time with my friend.

My bff since 10th grade had a dad who gave up his drivers license because of ailing health and eyesight. My bff asked if I'd mind taking his dad out on errands or appointments. I've always loved spending time with his dad so I said yes. So, that's what I got the pleasure of doing for the last 18 months. He was a blast. He was 80 years old but was still very sharp. He had a wonderful sense of humor, loved his wife and family. Even when he was ailing, he'd still call and check on me. He passed away suddenly this past Tuesday, and he is dearly missed. The time I spent with him, learning and laughing, were some of the best days that I'd had in the last 18 months. A true Gentleman.
