You are as anonymous as you make yourself be.
To a point you have anonymity but it breaks down on two fronts.
The people who post anonymously aren't necessarily among our brightest members and often comment on the answers using their Blurtit handle.
But even if somebody stayed anonymous it would be no trouble for the site owner to find your IP address and, with it, your identity. If you were to post something particularly inflammatory -- racist or terrorist rants, for instance -- the authorities would also be very interested in your IP address.
So you can remain anonymous to the likes of your old Uncle Didge, but remember, Big Brother is watching.
I am an open book on sites like this ... Is an outlet for me . I try to keep myself somewhat anonoumous , but I think I'm who I am and express who I am on sites like this. Is therapeutic for me so aight ;)
I don't post anything I wouldn't say to your face, NSA, FBI, CIA, MI5, or to Mr. President Obama.
I take full responsibility for my statements, comments, rants, crabbyiness and unintelligent nonsense.
I say what I feel.
