I've migrated from Ask and am having trouble navigating this site. Can anyone provide helpful hints and explain the icons and symbols? Sometimes there are red/green boxes. Sometimes not. What is the best way to begin?

OK. I'll try to help out here. The red and green boxes are where you vote for the answer if you like it. Then you can thank and blurt the answer which lets the person know that you liked the answer. In the answer box, the symbols there are similar to an e-mail. 

The only three you really might use are the last three. Insert image, Insert video, and link. Image is easy as you can take any image and attach it to your answer like an e-mail. We'll get to how to use the video part when you've been on for a while. Questions : To find them like I did yours, click "new" or "topics" to see questions. Easy when you get the hang of it ! Don't worry, I'll try to help all I can.

It's also very necessary to click on the green "up arrow" whenever you see an answer by Ray Dart.

I found your question by going to my profile and clicking followers then clicking your profile. The blurt sends the question to your followers. The thank writer makes the thumb go up.
