Is wit and humour banned? I didn't get that memo... :)
Yeah, spam is an issue. Maybe a rethink about how and when content goes live is in order. We get to the spam eventually, but it does make it into public view before it is checked.
There are certainly other problems to solve on Blurtit too, and I genuinely hope we can solve them, because I'd like nothing more than to log on each evening and to be captivated and entertained by the questions and answers in my stream.
But aside from the bad, I think it's also fair to say there are plenty of positives to highlight too.
Hope you don't mind, but I've created an ordered list:
- Rooster and Angela fighting the spammers. Between them, they have west coast and east coats time zones covered too. They keep the site safe, and report unwanted behavior.
- Tyto Alba's answers. Come on! You have to admit you enjoy reading them...
- John McCann taking care of the maths and chemistry questions like a boss.
- Lia Tan giving relationship advice. She deserves her own 'agony aunt' column!
- Your own answers, Ray. They wry ones make me chuckle, but there is plenty of wisdom there too.
- DWW, Autumn is your Mom, Nice Girl, Taylor Brookes... And all the other people that drop by regularly and share their opinions or ask their questions.
So yeah... I'm up for celebrating the good things about Blurtit, but also working on improving the not so good. I'm pretty sure many others feel this way too.
