One thing I know for sure is that this isn't something that Blurtit have encouraged.
Google place ads on webpages that supposedly match the content. Some of the questions on Blurtit relate to sexual situations, etc. So possibly Google's trackers decided this was appropriate material.
Obviously it isn't nice to have to see ads that can be offensive, especially on a site that has a lot of younger followers. I have to say that I have not personally seen these ads, but I know that someone else mentioned it recently too.
I know that the powers that be at Blurtit will do all they can to stop these ads appearing, Maybe you would like to contact them personally. Just go to https://blurtit.uservoice.com/ and on the right-hand side, you will see a "contact support" button which will bring up a simple web form.
Blurtit cares about its users and would never intentionally offend. Hopefully, we can get it back to being the site we know and love.
