Personally if I had to choose, I’d love it if someone cared enough about me to think, ‘Now what would she really like?” And then go and make it - or make it happen for me.
Here are a few of my ideas I came up with that will cost you nothing or very little
- Make some gift vouchers (I did this for Christmas one year when I had no money!)
What you do is you draw a voucher-make it nice and simple and personal and colourful.
You can decide what the voucher is for so some ideas are-
Babysitting, Gardening, Cleaning, Ironing (I wish someone would give me one of these!)- the list is endless -and believe me, people just LOVE these! But don’t put an expiry date on the voucher - let people choose when to redeem it.
2. Make your own inexpensive gifts
Check out this great video for ideas - I’m going to try some of these for my Christmas gifts this year.
3. Make a Video
Just imagine you get video especially for you - from your lover, your daughter, your son and it tells you how much you mean to them. A priceless gift - and one you can keep and look back on.
4. Give a massage
You might want to restrict this one for a close friend!
And...just to let you know my best Christmas present EVER is when my sister and her husband came for a whole morning and cleaned my oven!!!
Just go to her/him home and give a hug and warm wishes...Really unforgettable gift for loving one!
Make them something nice
You can make a handmade gift.
Hi There! I hope these suggestions help!
Make crafts at home:
1. Make some cookies or some other delicious treat and put it in a nice container that you can decorate yourself.
2. Make your own bath salt. If you have food coloring, epsom salt, perfume/oil, and something to put the epsom salt in. You can make bath salts.
3. Body Scrubs - Most that I know are made with salt and or sugar with some other ingredients you may have in your kitchen. Such as honey, brown sugar, olive oil, etc. It just depends.
4. Make candy flowers. Get a bag of lollipops from a dollar store and some construction paper. Here's how to make it: http://www.dltk-holidays.com/valentines/mcandy-flower.htm (There's also other ways to make candy flowers. This is just an example)
Go on Sites to acquire points to trade for prizes:
Swagbucks You can do surveys and watch videos. They even reward you for shopping online at certain stores such as Walmart. I got a gift card from Domino's Pizza, Amazon.com and some Paypal money all in July! You can also get gift cards, from Walmart, Target, Papa John's and so on. It's great to stack up on these for Christmas or another holiday. So you can buy your some gifts with them.
Instagrams - (Don't know too much about how this works)
Make a printable card online from sites like American Greetings, Shutterfly.com, Snapfish.com, etc.
