Ah yes, a very common question!

Before my interview with Blurtit (it's spelled as all one word by the way) I also wondered which one it was...

Luckily, it turned out to be Blurt-It, not Blur-tit.

There has been mystery and speculation over the years about where the name actually originated from. Some say it derives from the Swedish word Brustit, which means "burst" or "broken" - while others speculate that it may be derived from a long forgotten language.

The truth is, it simply comes from the idea of "blurting" something out - just sharing that knowledge, opinion, or advice that you have inside you.

The idea of the site is simply to help people get their questions answered by unlocking information we wouldn't usually share.

And, along the way, we hope to meet some interesting people and have a bit of fun too.
