Sy, BLurtit's list seems rather arbitrary, at times. I think many (if not all) of us have run into this issue. It appears they began with a very broad banned words list from which to work, including words that may ve more internationally recognized as vulgarity. The current system is an improvement, believe it or not, as they used to simply delete the entire post immediately (it would disappear and never post at all!). Now, one may submit the post for moderator review if one of their words inadvertently is included in one's post, or choose to alter it in the moment. Also, I must say that thought the system is far from perfect, one can send an email explaining the word use and requesting it be on the permitted list, and Blurtit it has been my experience that Blurtit is very responsive to those requests.
Yes, at one time lollipop was not allowed (as apparently it has some sexual connotation), and another rather humorous one (though perhaps not at the time for our friend) was "dry rub" as she was describing the process for BBQ in the cooking group.
