Should a question or answer be deleted for bad language when you did not use bad language in any way?

My opinion on censoring swear words online is this. As long as it's not directed directly at someone or something. It should be accepted..What ever happened to freedom of speech. Here's an example. For instance: "Today was f**kin unbelievable"
The only time a person should be punished or censored for swearing is when it's directed at someone/something in a negative or malicious way.

I halfway agree with your answer but Blurtit is aiming for a clean, free online envirnment and everyone is content with the clean, free answers they receive. I guess they consider swear words a bad influence for their site, and that is why they remove or censor certain words if they find it might be offensive to a user, especially one who is new to the site. (They want a welcoming introduction.)

I have worked hard not to swear in any of my computer communications or in my daily life. For me, I think it belittles the person speaking. If it works for others that is their choice.

Then Blurtit needs to define in detail what bad or foul language is

They need to stop being so double minded...playing both sides against the middle. They need to do more than define in detail what bad or foul language is. I am glad for the nice people i have met on blurtit that i may not have met otherwise. Peace out!

I agree but it looks like Blurtit wants this site to be more kid oriented than for adults but there are 2 sets of rules and they arent the same nor fair
