Do you have a friend who tries to help you but fails? Whenever Someone helps you, do you have nice manners and thank the person?

For sure anyone who tries to help me when I need it, like when my closest friends helped me cope with my Dad and then my Gran dying this year, it's always appreciated.  I treated all four of the girls, along with myself, to a weekend in Paris as my treat.
