In the general dimension of the environment, as in the opinion of one of the top chefs in the world, Gagnaire, environmental degradation would have an adverse effect on the food trade that is carried off across different nations of the world. Not only that but this global warming menace is also going to affect restaurant trade in a negative way as well. As due to this environmental degradation many species of fish, livestock and vegetables would die in the near future, which would force many restaurants to close down their business as well as hinder food trade for many countries.
This would have a direct effect on the customers who like to dine out. As scarce as the source of food supplies gets, the prices would increase in due proportion making the idea of having a meal in a restaurant a far-fetched luxury and would consequently diminish demand. For that matter, Gagnaire suggests, restaurant chefs all over the world should bring modifications and innovations to their cooking techniques in the reflection of the speculation that the near future would only offer farmed or genetically altered food products.
