My List of Fears

Wow, you asked a doosey for me, as I am afraid of many, many things. I don't know why, but I do get help for it, it helps some. Here goes;
buses semi's heights tight spaces walking alone spiders machinery airplanes speed strangers small boats motorcycles snakes fires (went through a couple) propane and gas tanks hot air balloons water heaters there is so much more, oh and I'm afraid of laundry rooms.
I have no idea where all these fears came from, and I know how to rationalize them, I do it all the time.

Heights - When I was seven I got stuck on a roller coaster for hours in the scorching heat and had to climb down a ladder. Now i just can't face heights at all.
Secondly...
Snakes - Even the thought of their evil glass eyes and their long meandering bodies makes me shudder.
I know why it happened, when i was a kid my friend locked me in a room with a BOA Constrictor and other snakes and I panicked.
Much Love

Don't laugh because it is one of the oddest fears that no one would even consider it being a fear. Vomiting. Yep, it's the truth. I will fight it to the end. My husband tells me I'd feel better when I have the stomach bug to just throw up. I'll feel better. Can't do it! I fight it and fight it and end up feeling worse. The 24 hour flu bug will last me longer b/c I won't throw up and get it out of my system.

Its strange that nobody has mentioned 'rats'. My biggest biggest fear is rats and anything similar to rats, like mice, hamsters, and etc.
I cant even watch them on the TV not mention in the real life. When I'm typing this, I already feel a little bit uncomfortable. I dont how to overcome it, and I think I might never overcome it.
The reason is when I was about 8 years old, I walked in the street, and I saw a rat, and both of us stopeed, and we looked eye to eye, and none of us move. I still remember that face and eye, it seems enormous,...oh, dear, after that, it is my greatest fear.

Fear of the unknown which is part of the mail-phobia i admit to. Infinity scares me, because the idea of something never ending is creepy. Fear of Rage, when i confront it in others. Fear of confrontations; I do not like to express hostility, nor can i endure it long. I can not watch or read about things like serial killers, and raw evil. The fact that people and evil in these forms do exist, is disturbing enough, without knowing the awful details, the depth of the depravity! These are the things that scare me.

Spiders are icky,, but cockroaches OMG.. Flying ones.. OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There is nothing more terrifying than cockroaches.. I swear they wait for you .. They lurk in dark corners .. They chase you .. They fly at you.. They sneak attack you when you are relaxed.. And just when you think you have killed them.. They crawl away.. You cant just spray them or squish them.. You have to take the head.. Burn the body and scatter the ashes. They are the biggest threat to humanity.. They like twinkies shall remain long after the world is blown to bits. I fear them because they are The UNDEAD. not to mention DISGUSTING.. And they have those spiny leg hairs.. :shudder: There is no way to overcome this.. Except hardcore pest control it is US OR THEM. Not to mention when I was a wee child on the lake in New Orleans after my grandfather died.. We had to stay and shut up clean out the house.. It had been sitting.. New orleans.. Wooded area.. Lake.. Empty for awhile..:cues horror movie music: I was told to take a nap.. Climbed on bed,..pulled back covers..
ROACH INFESTATION.. :FAINTS: seriously.. One roach will send me screaming and running.

I am afraid that I'm going to choke to death. I think it's because when I was a little girl I heard something about somebody dying in this way. (I think it was Mama Casa) My solution is I never eat anything when there is nobody else around to save me in case I choke.
I am also afraid to be in an elevator alone. I'm pretty sure that stems from my fear of being stuck in an elevator. I think I could handle it better if I had company. But there are times when I have no choice and one time I did get stuck for about fifteen minutes and I was alone and the emergency phone didn't work. It turned out okay though. I didn't die of a heart attack from panic. But I'm still afraid. And I absolutely won't get on an elevator if I have to pee. I make sure to go to the bathroom first.
