Is Bill Kaulitz From Tokio Hotel Really A Boy Or Is He A Girl?

In all of his/her pictures he/she looks like a girl but his/her name is Bill and his/her voice sounds quite mannish. Also in all of the tokio hotel videos on youtube it says is he a girl etc etc... I would like to know! O_o
