While ours is this young, I can still do it, but she is in the gifted program now, and I don't know how this is going to be for me in the next year or two. Ugh.

My daughter is in 5th grade and i don't know what kind of homework her teacher gives her without explaining it to her .Now a days i think the homework is really given to see what type of knowledge the parents have .

Its not so much the homework as it is the "projects" they want the kids to do... They are complicated and time consuming and they want things that they KNOW all too well that the kids are not going to do. My Son had to make a cookbook... It had specific guidelines to follow... 9 catagories, each needed 7 or more recepies, all pages in plastic protector sheets... Dividers... Picturs.... All done on the computer.... Guess WHO did his project? Not him... I DID.... I got an A...lol

Homework is the same as it always was.... If it is math, i don't know it passed 5th, anything else, if u read it, you'll get the answer. But who has time to read all that crap, I didn't then and still don't now..... It's crazy!

I do not understand most of it anymore my 10 year old niece is already bringing home some algebra type problems I never had algebra.I also never took computers in school so when she brings home stuff about computers I am like UGGGGHH

I can't understand half the questions asked here. I remember struggling with kids homework. I was never any good at math, so I was of little help there.

they do give way to much homework!!!!! and i think it is harder now then when we were in school!!!

My son is 10 and goes to the boys and girls club after school.When I pick him up I look at his work then. But yea I do receive it..
