I use the internet frequently for
school but also have young children
that love to play games and things
This makes it hard for me to say I
am against it but I know the kinds
of things that my kids can see and
get themselves into when they are a
little older |

goggles the word Beaver for a
project..and finds hundreds of porn
sites with hairy Asian women?
Parents will not always monitor
their kids on the internet, there
are Lou poles for
everything..including monitoring
MSN convos..if you wanna talk go on
facebook chat. Its a fact, if we
aren't supposed to do it..we will
automatically want to go and do it.
Children will not always be
monitored by their parents while on
the internet, it only takes one
time of them not watching over them
for their kid to accidentally click
on a popup from an unsafe site that
they thought was innocent. |

I agree with you. The internet
contains a large amount of useful
resources for our youth but also
contains a large amount of
negative resources for them as
well. If the parents of these
youth would become more involved in
these youths lives then the
negative influences could be
addressed and monitored so as not
to let them influence the youths. |

As others have stated, there are
far more influences in the world
that have a negative impact on
young people. The internet
obviously can be negative, but on
balance it is probably not as bad
as many TV programs, computer games
or movies. I feel the worst
influence on youth are "role
models" such as pop stars who
behave in a way that is in my mind
totally unacceptable. |

against our own selves.Computer and
Internet are two of the most
amazing scientific discoveries
which have a great influence on our
lives.Our lives are connected very
much with these two things.They
help us every time and almost

or a negative way.Both ways will
affect our lives.A machine or
technology is not baqd or dangerous
,it is us who make things worse for

Oh hardly. I'm practically a child
of the Internet, and the only
adverse effect on me is i do put up
with obvious lieing and obvious
efforts to control people. The
Internet has done 3 things to me :
1: Enlighten me to world events and
cultures 2: Make me much better at
stating my ideas and have a great
access to writings and C: Given me
a slightly morbid sense of humor. I
can live with that, especially
seeing as i enjoy it. |

It can't be negative if parents
monitor what they are doing on it,
and any good parent will do so
until the child is old enough to
monitor themselves. There has to be
more parents involved to make sure
they aren't getting into trouble,
but alas, today's society, a lot of
parents don't. I do, and she isn't
allowed to be on the pouter at
someone else's house unless the
parents are monitoring the kids. |

influence on kids? So was the
radio, TV, ummm….skateboarding,
ECT. Come on! Kids live in an age
where they have access to unlimited
amounts of information. Kids have
the ability to type by the time
they can read. Not all kids surf
the net and look at porn and idle
their time away. Please I heard
that when I read comic books!
Don’t you all wish your kid read
comics now? Bad influence.
Whatever! I don’t see this
highway of information slowing down
anytime soon. If your kid is not
up to speed….well I’m sorry
