Hover and Wysiwyg
posted Thu, 01 May 2008, by Blurtit Team
Take a look at two great new Blurtit features. First: the ‘hover’ feature. It’s simple – just hover your mouse over a username or avatar. You will see a quick profile of that person – their Blurtit level, ratings and scores, and whether they are online right now. You will also see an “add as a friend” link, so you don’t need to go to their profile page to make someone your friend. We hope this makes it even easier to contact new friends on Blurtit.

And don’ t miss 'Wysiwyg' –this is in Rich Text Editor and it’s available for your shoutbox, Q&A and groups. With Wysiwyg it’s easier to edit your post, create and undo hyperlinks and upload pictures and videos.

Enjoy using Blurtit!

Really like the hovering tool, much quicker than clicking on a person's avatar. I'm not clear on the "add a friend link". When I click on it, it gives me an option to click on one or all of my friends and leave a message. But how do I ask someone to be a friend since the only avatars there are already my friends? Haven't used the "wysiwyg" yet, but it looks like a pretty neat tool that I will soon use. You guys are really getting high-tech! lol One feature that would be nice when responding to groups by adding a thread; there isn't an edit feature option. Can you fix that? Thanks for all your work; I'm hooked on blurtit!

Calling all Blurtit debaters – we've just added a 'share with a friend' button to the debates section. If you want your friends to see any interesting debates you’ve found/joined, just click. You can then select any or all of your friends and they’ll get an email (remember you can choose instant, daily or no email alerts through your Accounts page.)

The 'share' feature is now available for Q&A, groups and profiles too.

Have a nice weekend!
