I just learned that the Oxford English Dictionary has abandoned their SaveTheWords.org project; no more do they champion those neglected words in danger of extinction, so that you could adopt them, and cherish them, and wear them on your t-shirt...
The English language is shrinking; which means that wonderful, essential words like these are cast into the merciless waters of the digital age. How can we salvage the likes of these beauties from the hazards of text messaging?
Pamphagous = eating up everything in sight
Gleimous = slimy, full of phlegm
Squiriferous = having the character or qualities of a gentleman
Pigritude = laziness
Canitude = greyness, hoariness; whiteness
